UK Reconsidering Campus Alcohol Policy

With lingering concerns about the University of Kentucky's alcohol policy coming to light in recent meetings between UK and surrounding neighborhoods, UK President Eli Capilouto says he's willing to reexamine the rules, which banned alcohol on campus 14 years ago.

UK Launches New Military Suicide Study

With the rate of suicides among military personnel continuing to rise, a University of Kentucky professor is leading a study to investigate the effect those deaths have on family and friends left behind. Based on previous research, it’s estimated that around 40 percent of Kentuckians know someone who has taken their own life.

Kentucky Supreme Court Rules University Students can Keep Guns in Cars

The Kentucky Supreme Court has ruled that students and staff members
at the commonwealth’s universities may legally store guns and other
deadly weapons in a car's glove compartment, but that the schools may
continue to regulate them elsewhere on campus.
