A Kimchi Western, Backpacking Lovers, Rastafarianism and More in MSU Cinema International Series

Dr. Tim Johns of Murray State's English and Philosophy Department previews the spring lineup for their Cinema International film series, which includes recent award-winning films from Belgium, South Korea, China, Israel, Norway, and more. Kid With a Bike showed last weekend (January 16-18), this week (January 23-25) is the South Korean big-budget western film The Good, The Bad, The Weird.

A Look at the Autumn Lineup for MSU's Cinema International Free Film Series

Murray State’s Cinema International Program is underway with the beginning of classes this week. English and Philosophy associate professor Tim Johns joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to talk about the first show: The Master, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix. Tim previews the season ahead including free film showings from France, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Japan, the UK and Greece. Cinema International Presents Cairo, IL Doc "Between Two Rivers"

Murray State's Cinema International is including "Between Two Rivers" the 2012 Documentary about Cairo, IL, in this week's features with a showing tomorrow night (first showing was Thursday night). Tim Johns is Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator, Jesse Stuart Fellowship, in the Department of English and Philosophy at Murray State and is becoming active with the Cinema International organization on campus.
