Many political pundits are ready to crown U.S. Senator Rand Paul as a Kentucky kingmaker following the Congressional primary victory of Thomas Massie.

Paul endorsed tea party candidate Massie, who won the Fourth Congressional GOP primary yesterday. The endorsement was Paul’s first in his home state since becoming Kentucky’s junior senator in 2010.

And while Massie’s campaign benefited from a Super PAC that spent more than a half million dollars in the primary race, former GOP consultant Les Fugate says Paul deserves some credit too.

I suppose everything is bigger in Texas if one kid there can change a whole in election in Kentucky.

NPR reports a 21-year-old college student from Texas gave half-a-million dollars to a Super-PAC, and now Thomas Massie will likely represent Kentucky's 4th Congressional District.

The entire GOP field in Kentucky’s fourth district congressional race had their say on KET last night.  Lewis County Judge Executive Thomas Massie is considered one of the front runners in the seven person Republican primary. He commented on the use of private sector knowledge in Washington on KET’s Kentucky Tonight.

A national conservative organization has thrown its support behind Thomas Massie in Kentucky’'s Fourth Congressional District GOP Primary.

The Club for Growth announced its endorsement today, saying members believe Massie would best emulate U.S. Senator Rand Paul, one of the organizations most-loved lawmakers.

The club has not announced any plans for further involvement in the primary, but officials say they could send money to Massie if the race looks close, and the club may run TV ads if necessary.
