The intimate musical "I Do! I Do!" had 560 performances on Broadway upon debuting in 1966, starring Mary Martin and Robert Preston. Later, a film adaptation would feature Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke as the couple in the two-character story that spans fifty years of love, quarrels and marriage. Some of the hits include "The Honeymoon is Over" and "My Cup Runneth Over," which became a major hit on the radio. On Sounds Good, Kate Lochte speaks with Janet Woodall Corum to talk about the upcoming dessert theatre production at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts at Madisonville Community College this weekend.

TWO presents "Sweeney Todd"

Feb 9, 2012

Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is running Steven Sodenheim’s famous musical “Sweeney Todd” about a vengeful barber in post-industrial London. Benjamin Barker returns from 15 years in exile with a new alias- Sweeney Todd. Todd teams up with his old neighbor Mrs. Lovett and they devise a murderous partnership that also provides income for their day jobs. Todd slits the throats of his barbershop customers and disposes of the bodies in Mrs. Lovett’s bakery where she makes meat pies.
