Poll: 84% of Kentuckians Favor Tobacco-Free K-12 Campuses

According to a poll released by a nonprofit health organization, a vast majority of Kentuckians favor tobacco-free school districts.

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, partnering with Interact for Health, funded the poll which was conducted last fall.

Poll: Three in Ten Kentucky Adults Went Without Health Insurance in 2013

An annual statewide poll shows that one-quarter of Kentucky adults are without health insurance.

The Kentucky Health Issues Poll is funded by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky. That group's President and CEO, Susan Zepeda, says an even higher number of adults in the commonwealth was without coverage for at least part of 2013.

Two-thirds of Kentuckians Support a Statewide Smoking Ban

A recent Kentucky Health Issues Poll shows that a majority of Kentuckians are now in support a statewide smoking ban. 

The poll released Thursday was funded by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky.  The data shows that 65%, or roughly two/thirds, of Kentucky adults favor a statewide smoke-free law, up 6 points from last year, and 17 points from four years ago.

Poll Shows Kentuckians Support Smoking Ban

A new poll by a nonpartisan health organization suggests a majority of Kentuckians would support a statewide smoking ban.

The Kentucky Health Issues Poll is conducted by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky. And its 2011 poll, taken last fall and released this week, shows that 54 percent of Kentuckians would approve an indoor statewide smoking ban.

Kentucky’s General Assembly has flirted with a law that would create a statewide smoking ban, but it has yet to fully make it through both chambers.
