Murray, KY – I find Richard Nelson of the Family Foundation's recent editorials about gay rights particularly offensive. After contacting WKMS I was invited to write a rebuttal, but calling this a rebuttal gives Nelson's words more legitimacy than I care to offer.

Dream On Old Dog

Murray, KY – Every so often I'll get a panicky email from a new dog owner:

"I think my dog is having seizures. When he is sound asleep he will twitch his legs and his eyes roll around and he yelps in pain. What do I do?"

Murray, KY – At the City Commissioners meeting on August 26th Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton proclaimed September to be Responsible Dog Ownership Month. One of the commissioners muttered, Oh lord, now we've gone to the dogs.

Murray, KY – When CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said the network was "going to throw out the rule book," in late 2006, she wasn't kidding. In case anybody was wondering just what rules she was talking about, the wait is over. On June 5, CBS officially joined the marriage deconstruction movement when it premiered Swingtown-- an edgy sitcom that eviscerates what is left of marriage in our postmodern culture.

Murray, KY – After having won gold and bronze medals in the 200 meter race, U.S. Olympians Tommie Smith and John Carlos made a bold and defiant gesture. As they stood on the platform to receive their medals to the strains of The Star Spangled Banner, both men wearing black gloves raised their fists in angry boldness. They had offered the Black Power salute. As a result, both athletes were suspended from the games and forced to leave the Olympic village.
