The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Punch Brothers headline this year's ROMP bluegrass festival in Owensboro. The annual festival, now in its 14th year, serves as a fundraiser for the International Bluegrass Music Museum.

A new home for the International Bluegrass Music Museum and Hall of Fame in Owensboro is one step closer to reality.

A groundbreaking for the facility is being held on Thursday, June 23.

The annual ROMP bluegrass festival has announced its 2016 lineup featuring Old Crow Medicine Show, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives and Lee Ann Womack.

Chris Thile brings the Punch Brothers back for the fourth time to the International Bluegrass Music Museum's ROMP Festival in Owensboro this month. Thile says he loves the space and the enthusiastic group of festival goers in his Sounds Good conversation with Tracy Ross. He also talks about how being a new father has influenced his music writing, the differences playing in duos and groups and an upcoming performance at Murray State University.

Singer-songwriter John Prine is set to play the International Bluegrass Music Museum’s ROMP festival in 2015.

Museum Promotions Director Chris Langdon says Prine has been on their list for several years but was unable to play at ROMP due to scheduling issues.

The 10th ROMP bluegrass music festival in Owensboro is releasing its lineup tomorrow for the June event.

International Bluegrass Music Museum Assistant Director Carly Smith says last year the three-day festival brought in about 21,000 people to hear 27 different acts. The festival is at the same location this year in Yellow Creek Park June 26-28 .
