A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to resume hanging steel on the new US 60 Ledbetter Bridge next Monday. C.J. Mahan Contracting has had construction crews working on other phases of the project while a salvage team has been working to re-float a crane barge at the site.
Three companies have been awarded up to $20 million in contacts to repair the Bird's Point Levee. The levee was blow last year to prevent flooding in Fulton County, Kentucky and Cairo, Illinois.
A lane restriction begins tomorrow for work on the US 60 Ledbetter Bridge. Crews will work through April 13th to install a deck expansion as part of ongoing repairs to the bridge. Highway officials say delays will be less than five minutes. Traffic on Interstate 69 will also see lane restrictions in Caldwell County starting Monday April 9.

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic with alternating traffic flow from 9 a.m. to about 6 this evening. Travel delays should be minimal. The restriction will allow contractors to deliver concrete as part of ongoing work on one of the bridge piers.
