Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park near Dawson Springs offers wilderness hikes of varying lengths the first of every month as part of a national initiative to help people get out and get active. Naturalist and Recreation Supervisor Rebecca Clark leads the hikes and speaks with Tracy Ross on Sounds Good about the upcoming hikes this summer.

Kentucky State Parks to Host Guided Hikes on New Year's Day

The Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is offering visitors a chance to start their new year’s resolutions off right.

Several state parks across the Commonwealth are offering “First Day” guided hikes on January 1st. State park hiking trails remain open through the winter season, weather permitting.
