Just months after closing one of its two facilities amid financial consolidation efforts, the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club of Paducah has begun a search for its next leader.

The mission of the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club of Paducah is to enable young people to be productive, responsible and caring citizens. The organization recently announced the June 1 closure of their midtown facility, which means a consolidation of young people into the newer Park Avenue location. WPSD Local 6 Anchor Todd Faulkner is President of the Board of Directors and joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to talk about the closure, the challenge in overcoming financial struggles and how the organization helps give life skills to kids who need it most.

Todd Anderson and Sam "Snacks" Hawkins of Leadership Paducah (Hawkins is also the Director of Operations for the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club) speak with Tracy Ross on Sounds Good about the OCBGC and the opportunities it offers Paducah area youth. Hawkins also performed some slam poetry. They also talked about  the Big Bang Dueling Pianos Band performing for a benefit for the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club at Harrah's in Metropolis on June 1. The event also features comedian "Kier." Doors open at 6 p.m., individual tickets are $50 each.
