A growing social media campaign is aimed at reopening an investigation into a car crash that killed a Hopkins County teenager earlier this year.

Seismologists from the Explosives and Blasting Branch of the Kentucky Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement are measuring the magnitude of blasts felt in a neighborhood near a plant that disposes of military ordinance in Nortonville. Donovan Commercial Industries and Double Arrow Explosive Services are located 40 minutes north of Fort Campbell  and dispose of military ordinance and temper railroad tracks.  

New Authority Seeks Loan for Wastewater Plant

The newly-formed South Hopkins Environmental Authority plans to seek up to three million dollars to buy the Nortonville Wastewater Treatment Plant to relieve the financial burden on the city of Nortonville. City officials have been unable to pay back their debt on the plant, which serves around 12-hundred households in Nortonville, White Plains and Mortons Gap.
