Arrests Made in Ft. Campbell Bank Robbery

Clarksville, KY – Clarksville Police arrested two former soldiers today after a morning bank robbery in Fort Campbell. Officers say they arrested Obryant Elijah Davis and Edwin Collazo-Hernandez in connection with the U.S. Bank robbery; both were recently released from military prison. Davis served six months on larceny charges and Hernandez served 15 months on drug charges. Both men are jailed in Clarksville.

Murray State Vs. Tennessee Tech Basketball Tickets Completely Sold Out

Murray, KY – The 17-0 Murray State Racers face Tennessee Tech tomorrow at 5 PM in what will be a sold out CFSB center. Murray State Officials announced the sell out today, but MSU students who return this weekend from winter break will still be allowed in through Gate C with a valid student ID. The game will also air on ESPNU. The 15th ranked Racers are one win away from their best streak in program history.

State Officials Hear Pseudoephedrine Testimony

Frankfort, KY – Officials from outside of Kentucky are encouraging state lawmakers not to repeat their missteps in the fight against meth.

At a joint meeting of the House and Senate Judiciary committees, officials from Oklahoma and Mississippi testified about how they've restricted the purchase of pseudoephedrine (PSE), a common decongestant in cold medicines and an integral ingredient in meth.

Weather Causing Traffic Safety Issues

Murray, KY – The recent winter weather has made many of the local roads unsafe for travel. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says crews are spreading salt on roads in Hickman, Graves, Marshall and Lyon Counties. Todd says KYTC is patrolling and addressing potential trouble spots in other counties throughout the Purchase region. The cabinet reminds everyone to remain cautious on the roads this morning and to keep a lookout for slick roads.

Paul Gives Back Operating Funds

Louisville, KY – Sen. Rand Paul is giving back $500,000 dollars of operational funds to the U.S. Treasury. Paul says he's fulfilling a campaign promise to downsize government.

Paul says he's considered everything from coffee pots to computers and says over a one year budget, he's been able to cut costs about 15 percent.
