Hopkinsville Transforms for 'The Big Read' Event Series

"Grab your glad rags and get your wiggle on" The Pennyroyal Arts Council hosts "The Big Read," a program of the National Endowment for the Arts and Arts Midwest. Hopkinsville was one of 77 counties across the country to receive the grant, celebrating literacy in events spanning six weeks. Kate Lochte speaks with Council director Margaret Prim about The Maltese Falcon, private eye lectures, film noir, arts classes, music, classroom projects, and more, on Sounds Good.

Lights, Camera, Action! Historic Theatres of Hopkinsville on Display

"Lights, Camera, Action! Hopkinsville Goes to the Show"  is the featured summer exhibit at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Chrsitian County. Executive Director Alissa Keller takes us on a walk through the history of Hopkinsville's early 20th century theatres, including the first "moving picture show" and the first "air cooled" building on Sounds Good today.

The 22nd Annual Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar

Hopkinsville native Edgar Cayce became a household name for allegedly possessing strange powers of mental telepathy. His purported psychic abilities to answer questions on health and other personal problems while in a trance garnered him worldwide fame. Museums of Hopkinsville Director Alissa Keller joins Kate on Sounds Good with events Friday through Sunday (March 28-30) remembering Cayce's legacy in the 22nd annual Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar featuring experts and a hypnotist.
