The Murray State Men’s Basketball Team came out on top 71 to 68 after a hard-fought game against long-time Austin Peay Saturday. The Racers next face off against Eastern Illinois Thursday night at 7 in the CFSB center.
In OVC Football over the weekend, Murray State fell to UT Martin 66 to 59 in this year’s MSU Homecoming game. Tennessee State beat Southeast Missouri 40 to 28. Austin Peay lost to Eastern Kentucky 45 to 14. And Jacksonville State lost to Eastern Illinois 31 to 28.
In OVC football this weekend, Murray State beat Missouri State 28 to 23, Southeast Missouri fell to Southern Illinois 35 to 14, Eastern Kentucky won out over Coastal Carolina 35 to 17, Tennessee Tech lost to Oregon 63 to 14, Tennessee State beat Austin Peay 34 to 14, and Illinois State defeated Eastern Illinois 54 to 51.
Murray State’s Board of Regents is meeting at Miller Golf Course today for a special planning session and work retreat. The board holds its quarterly meeting tomorrow on campus. On the agenda for tomorrow’s meeting: a spotlight on the men’s basketball team from coach Steve Prohm, and an update on the State Endowment Match Program.
