Curtains! is a musical comedy/murder mystery about a failing musical about the classic story of Robin Hood, and includes a series of murders on set as the musical is prepared for it's opening. A lieutenant comes by to solve the case and fix the artistic problems of the show as well. On Sounds Good, Tracy Ross speaks with musical director Dr. Chris Mitchell, director Maribeth Crawford and lead actor Logan Sapp.

Mandolinist, composer, singer, MacArthur Genius Grant recipient and future host of A Prairie Home Companion Chris Thile talks about his time as a student in Murray, on Sounds Good with Tracy Ross, ahead of his performance October 29 at Lovett Auditorium, benefiting the Murray State Music Department. Also, Asia Burnett speaks with Tina Bernot, MSU Interim Executive Director of Development, about how the concert came to be and how the scholarship will be used.

Soprano Sonya Baker has presented programs in many of our region's performing arts halls and has held the position of  Assistant Dean of the College of Humanities & Fine Arts and Professor of Music at Murray State, but today she visits with us as she's on her way to a new post as Associate Dean for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at James Madison University. Hear the conversation:

The Murray State University Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Band present their final concert of the Spring semester tonight (April 24) in Lovett Auditorium. The program includes works by Wagner, Dvorak, Vaughan Williams, Clifton Williams, Fred J. Allen, and Todd Stalter. MSU Band Director John Fannin visits Sounds Good with a preview of the performance.

Murray State Department of Music offers a Mini-Festival featuring the Music of Paul Salerni titled "Generazioni" Thursday and Friday. On Sounds Good, Kate learns more from faculty member Mike D'Ambrozio,  who studied with Salerni at Lehigh University. 

Dr. Amy Aucoin directs the Concert Choir of Murray State which is giving a concert Sunday, March 2 at 3:30 PM in Lovett Auditorium featuring the works of poet E.E. Cummings. Dr. Aucoin is also calling for singers for the spring semester of Community Chorus. She speaks with Kate Lochte on Sounds Good about the upcoming performance and how one can become involved in the Community Chorus.
