Murray’s main thoroughfare, 12th street, appears to be receiving a facelift with some demolition and construction of new businesses.  Many of them are banks.

District Director of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State, Chris Wooldridge and President/CEO of the Murray-Calloway Chamber of Commerce Aaron Dail visit Sounds Good to speak with Chad Lampe about a Retailers Roundtable in Murray Wednesday morning as part of the observance of National Small Business Week, which includes information about a new tool being developed for small business to make actionable change and decisions based on local market data. 

An overview of how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will affect you and your business is on the horizon for attendees of this Thursday's Business@Breakfast of the Murray Calloway County Chamber of Commerce and Murray State's Town & Gown office. It starts at 7:30 a.m. in MSU's Curris Center Ballroom. The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce presentation includes several online and in-person resource options. Its Manager of Public Affairs, Ashli Watts, brings the program. The Campbellsville University and University of Louisville graduate worked at the Kentucky Bar Association and the LRC before joining the chamber last year. Kate Lochte has the interview.
