Marshall County Circuit Court has released previously sealed documents in the case of accused Marshall County High School shooter Gabe Parker.  The Kentucky Court of Appeals ordered Thursday that an arraignment video along with other documents involving the January 23 shooting be released.

Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship plans to intensify efforts to reach a plea bargain for Murray State University basketball player Zaveral “Zay” Jackson. Blankenship says he is concerned social media comments about the case have affected the Calloway County jury.

Police allege Jackson struck two people with his car in Murray’s Walmart parking lot Sept. 9. Blankenship says the offer to Jackson will include conditions of jail time, restitution to the victims and anger management.

Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship hopes to work out a plea deal with Murray State University basketball player Zaveral “Zay” Jackson. Jackson faces felony assault charges for allegedly hitting two people with his car during an argument in the Murray Walmart parking lot earlier this month. Blankenship says Jackson has waived his right to preliminary hearing and grand jury consideration.

Former Murray State student, and newly reinstated Paducah Middle School assistant principal, Jerry Walker, Junior will be back in court next week on charges related to a 1998 M-S-U dorm fire that killed student Michael Minger.
