Emmy-Nominated Rapper Performs in Marion Despite Cancellation by School Adminstrators

Rapper/actor T.O.N.E-z. received an Emmy nomination in 2012 for his song "Long Hard Times To Come," which is the theme song to the television series Justified. His free performance at halftime of a high school football game in October was canceled at the last minute by school administrators. On Sounds Good, T.O.N.E-z. and Crittenden County Football Boosters President Serena Dickerson talked with Tracy Ross about the circumstances surrounding the cancelation and the rapper's decision to return to Marion last Saturday to perform at Fohs Hall with Big Atomic.

"Grow Marion" Campaigns to Introduce Restaurant Alcohol Sales Ordinance

A new effort to put alcohol sales on the local ballot has begun in Crittenden County, over a year and half after a previous pro-alcohol campaign failed.

The GrowMarion campaign launched its website this week to begin raising support for the initiative.

Marion Airport Plans for New Terminal

Williamson County Regional Airport in Marion, Illinois hopes to build a new terminal within three years. The airport offers eight daily charter flights to St. Louis.
