Calvert City is at a crossroads whether to move forward with the development of a riverport on the Tennessee River. City and County officials recently met with the Riverport Authority to consider options for a possible access road that would connect the site to major roadways.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 11:54 a.m.:

The Calvert City Council unanimously passed the ordinance to annex Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park at a specially-called budget meeting Monday night. The ordinance will be published in the paper of record Wednesday, making the park officially within Calvert City limits.

Calvert City officials are closer to annexing  Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in hopes of bringing alcohol sales to the State Resort Park.

City leaders expect to introduce a long-planned annexation ordinance within the next few weeks.
