Yeiser Holiday Home and Gallery Tours, Facebook

The Holiday Home and Gallery Tour is the Yeiser Art Center's biggest fundraiser, this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Paducah. New this year are the galleries in LowerTown open to tour to see artists working in their studios. On Sounds Good, Tracy Ross speaks with Lindsey Maestri, Executive Director for the Yeiser Art Center and event coordinator Ashlea McMillan about the event.

If your life flashed before your eyes, what would you see or contemplate? Maybe the last time you'd seen a certain loved one or perhaps undone items on your bucket list? Not so for a young man in Paducah. He has a passion for brewing beer. And that was the only thing on his mind after surviving a terrible car accident that left him unconscious for weeks.

Bryan Canavan, affectionately introduced himself as a boy from Vermont, “I lived there for 14 years, which I think statistically there are still more cows in that state than people.”

Lower Town Arts and Music Festival, Facebook

The Kentucky Tourism Bureau lists the LowerTown Arts and Music Festival in Paducah among the top Spring festivals in the Commonwealth. The annual gathering of regional music, artists and food vendors is Friday, May 15 and Saturday May 16 in the LowerTown district. Organizers Michael and Victoria Terra of Terra Cottage Ceramics joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to talk about this year's special events, the juried artists on display and the line-up of local music.
