The New U.S. 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge is open to four-lane traffic. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet hosted a “Bridge Day” ceremony Wednesday before the two eastbound lanes opened to the public.

The old Eggners Ferry Bridge is set for explosive demolition. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says demolition of the four main spans over Kentucky Lake in Aurora is set for 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25.

Preparations to demolish the Old Eggners Ferry Bridge over Kentucky Lake are expected to kick off as early as this afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says contractors are looking to begin saw cutting on the concrete deck of the 85-year-old structure this week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime lane restriction at the east end of US 68/KY 80 Lake Barkley Bridge at Canton in Trigg County Thursday and Friday (June 9 and 10).

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is providing Crittenden County with Emergency Road Aid Funds to replace a damaged culvert. The $35,000 dollar assistance goes to the county Fiscal Court replacing the ailing stream tunnel on Hurricane Church Road.

The eastbound I-24 ramp to northbound Purchase Parkway will be closed until 5 p.m. today. The closure is due to the ongoing reconstruction of the interchange.
