Voters will determine today whether Republicans will take control of the Kentucky House for the first time in nearly a century.  Someone closely watching House races is Jeff Cone, Vice President of the United Autoworkers Union in Bowling Green.  He fears Kentucky will become a right-to-work state under a GOP-lead House.

The well-funded non-profit Americans for Prosperity's hiring of a Kentucky state director signals to many political observers outside donors' intense interest in this fall's state House races and beyond.

In a news  release on Tuesday, Americans for Prosperity announced that Julia Crigler, a former political director for the Kentucky House Republican Caucus, would lead its efforts in Kentucky.

Election day is two weeks away, and with only one competitive Congressional race (6th District with Congressman Ben Chandler and Andy Barr) and no statewide races on the ballot, this year's politics will definitely be local.
