A bill seeking to make many changes to Kentucky’s alcohol laws appears to be moving toward final passage.

The omnibus alcohol measure allows for increased production by small farm wineries and microbreweries, and aims to ease certain restrictions on the bourbon industry.

Western Kentucky is now a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Locations in Marshall and Christian counties are among seven of the state’s so-called micro or craft distilleries added to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. State officials joined distillers to make the announcement today in Lexington. Silver Trail Distillery in Hardin and MB Roland Distillery in Pembroke are the far western Kentucky stops.
