Kentucky Legislators Receive First Sexual Harassment Training

Kentucky lawmakers have finished their first-ever training on sexual harassment.

More than a hundred lawmakers heard a lecture from Aime McFerren, a Louisville attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She shared strategies for identifying sexual harassment, and the benefits of preventing it.

Rick Perry To Speak For GOP Fundraiser at Murray State

Western Kentucky Republicans have landed Texas Governor Rick Perry to headline a fundraiser focusing on efforts to flip control of the Kentucky House. 

Calloway County GOP Chairman Greg DeLancey says that Perry will speak at the March 15th event at Murray State University. 

Perry is the longest-serving governor in Texas history and is seen as a potential GOP presidential candidate in 2016, following a failed bid in 2012.

Former Kentucky state Rep. John Arnold allegedly inappropriately touched a House colleague, according to new filings in asexual harassment civil suit by two Statehouse staff members.

In a pair of responses to discovery requests, Legislative Research Commission employees Yolanda Costner and Cassaundra Cooper allege that Rep. Sannie Overly, D-Paris, was inappropriately touched by Arnold.
