Two Louisville-based foundations have each committed $1 million to cover most of the cost of a forensic audit of the University of Louisville Foundation.

Brescia University in Owensboro has received a $500,000 grant for its social work program. The grant from the James Graham Brown Foundation will be used for a new building to house Brescia University’s rapidly expanding social work program and to hire faculty.

Murray State's Jones College of Science, Engineering & Technology Dean Dr. Steve Cobb joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to chat about the new half-million dollar project 'Test Drive A Racer,' supported by a grant form the James Graham Brown Foundation. This program grew out of a request for funding from a philanthropic organization. Dr. Cobb says students benefit from the opportunity to have internships before graduation in professionally meaningful environments. This program will help fund internship programs. He says The foundation is interested in looking at projects that benefit the higher education institutions in the state and economic vitality in the state.
