Update: We've included  the March 12 conversation from Sounds Good with Kate Lochte, Nikki Radford and  Ellen Gilbert of the Global Education Center. In this conversation, Gilbert explains the Global Education Center and previews the musicians and dancers at the festival.

The Hopkinsville International Festival, now in its sixth year, showcases some of the cultural diversity in the region. Featuring a global village, performance on two stages, food, lectures, language courses and more, it's a weekend that brings people together in an interactive nature that allows folks to engage, says event coordinators Nikki Radford and Nina Shalom. They speak with Kate Lochte on Sounds Good with a preview.

Hopkinsville International Festival Celebrates Global Heritage This Weekend

The Hopkinsville International Festival will be held March 7 from 4-8PM and March 8 from 10AM to 6PM at the James E. Bruce Convention Center. Parks and Recreation will host a "Creation Station" where participants can design their own kites. Other festival activities include a virtual Tour de France, multilingual stories, an international pageant, international food vendors, a photo booth, door prizes, and more. Christian County Chamber's Yasamin Ausenbaugh visits with Kate Lochte  on Sounds Good for a preview.

Hopkinsville iFest Celebrates Global Heritage

 Hopkinsville's annual international festival celebrates global heritage with music, performances, food and activities for all ages. Mary Migala of iFest Hopkinsville joins us during Sounds Good to talk about the International Festival March 7 and 8 at the James E. Bruce Convention center.

Dancing, Crafts, Food and Fun at the Hopkinsville International Festival

On Sounds Good, we welcomed Yasamin Ausenbaugh,Director of Christian County Cares 2015. She outlined the events of the International Festival in Hopkinsville at the JEB Convention Center, March 15 & 16. featuring international foods, a global village, international performers from Indian to American, performing Tribal Belly Dance to the Nyama Drum Ensemble. The performers come from the Global Education Center in Nashville. Click here for more information about the festival.
