Owensboro Airport Expanding

The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport has seen marked growth over the last few years and shows no sign of stopping.  The airport has expanded its runway to 8,000 feet, making it the third airport in Kentucky with a runway 8,000 feet or longer (CORRECTED: WKMS originally reported the Owensboro runway was the third longest in Kentucky).

Marion Airport Receives Federal Grant

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a $499,959 federal grant to the Marion-Crittenden County Airport to help construct a 10-unit hangar.

Henry County Airport Receives Aeronautics Grant

The Henry County Airport in Paris, Tenn.  is set to make improvements with $200,000  in state grants from the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

The funds are part of more than $2.3 million approved for 10 Tennessee airports.
