As part of its Evening Upstairs series, the McCracken County Public Library hosts "An Evening with Mark Twain: An American Icon," a presentation by Robert Brock, tomorrow night at 7 in the second floor meeting room. Brock is professor of theatre at Lindsey Wilson College and is the Artistic Director of the Kentucky Repertory Theatre. The presentation is free and open to the public. The Murray State University Clay Club holds its holiday sale tomorrow and Thursday in the foyer of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building from 9 to 3. The sale features pottery and sculpture made by Murray State students. Proceeds support student efforts to attend a national conference each spring.

The free tour lasts about an hour and features 18 snapshots of local history. Tour cards may be downloaded from the city's website or picked up at the Commerce Center.

Santa Claus visits Paducah starting Saturday to find out if local children have been naughty or nice and to listen to Christmas wishes. Children can meet Santa at his house located at the corner of 2nd and Broadway. There’s no charge; bring cameras. Santa’s at his house Fridays from 4 to 7; Saturdays from 10 to 5, and Sundays from 1 to 4 through December 22.
