Murray State University visiting artist Armin Mühsam's work "Anthropogenic Landscapes" addresses the dichotomy between the man-made and the natural through the subject matter of landscape. His artist talk is tonight at 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 631, and is followed by a reception. Nicole Hand directs the Murray State Summer Art Workshop that is for freshman-seniors, June 8-13. The workshop has been going since the 1980's and this is Dale Leys 30th year teaching drawing in the workshop. Nicole and her husband Jim Bryant also run a website called Murray Kid, as well as a Facebook page of children's events activities in the Murray area. Murray State art professor and local artist Dale Leys joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to talk about his exhibition titled, "Dale Leys: A 40 Year Retrospective," opening at The Yeiser Art Center, Maiden Alley Cinema, and Ruth Baggett's Gallery 1025 this weekend (October 5, 2013), through November 2. The works display Leys' live and experience as an artist living and teaching in western Kentucky and his travels abroad over the decades.
