Multi-Party Agreement Extends Paducah's USEC Operations for One Year

The United States Enrichment Corporation today entered into a multi-party arrangement with Energy Northwest, the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) to extend uranium enrichment operations for about a year at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Paducah, Ky.

Some Honeywell Employees Back After Plant Closure

A Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspector is at the Metropolis Honeywell plant observing the inspection of the facility. Honeywell management ordered the plant vacated yesterday after they discovered damage in a production area.
