Home health is one of the many areas involved in physical therapy. To qualify, one must be referred to by a physician, an MD, DO (Doctor of Osteopathic) or DPM (Doctors of Podiatric Medicine). Populations tend to include geriatrics, pediatrics and sometimes adults who happen to be in a car accident or recovering from a major surgery. Baptist Health Madisonville’s president and CEO is retiring in July after 35 years in healthcare management. Berton Whitaker has been with the Madisonville healthcare system since 2006 and led the transition from Trover Health System to Baptist Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Kentucky.

Trover Health System Joins Baptist Health

Trover Health System is now Baptist Health Madisonville. The name change is official Thursday as the healthcare provider joins the Louisville-based family of hospitals. Baptist Health Vice President of Planning and Development Andy Sears says it means the network now owns eight hospitals.
