Madisonville Community College in Top 150, Competes for $1 Million Prize

Madisonville Community College was recently named one of the nation's top 150 community colleges, which will compete for $1 million dollars in prize funds and the 2015 Aspen Prize. Western Kentucky has two of Kentucky's four colleges on the list. The other in our region is WKCTC in Paducah. Kate Lochte speaks with Madisonville Community College President Judy Rhoads on Sounds Good about the accolades and what it means for the college.

WKCTC Named to Finalist List for Aspen Prize

West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah is once again a finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Last year the school placed in the top five finalists, and shared a portion of the million dollar prize fund. The finalists are selected from a pool of one thousand community colleges in the country. Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College is also a finalist for the prize, which will be awarded in Washington, D.C. in March.
