About The Show

The music on Sounds Good is a mix of legacy artists who are still making great music now (Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Bonnie Raitt) deep cuts from classic artists (The Band, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, REM) great contemporary artists who don' t receive commercial airplay (Neko Case, Wilco, Jack White, Darrell Scott, The Black Keys) and those who defy the boundaries of categorization (Punch Brothers, Bela Fleck, Ry Cooder, Bill Frisell, Justin Townes Earle). You'll also get a bit of World music, Blues, Soul/R&B, Reggae and Jazz.

Additionally, you'll hear interviews with newsmakers and community leaders, live music from some of our region's best musicians, our community events calendar and more.

Fun Questions Big and Small at Ask Roulette, Coming to Maiden Alley Cinema

During Ask Roulette, strangers ask each other any question they want, big or small, in front of a live audience. Questions are serious or silly, and answers are short or long. Over the course of the evening, you'll get unexpected connections, surprising anecdotes, and honest conversation. You'll also laugh. You can also just watch - not everyone has to come on stage. Rebecca Feldhaus-Adams and Shelly Baskin visit with Tracy Ross on Sounds Good, for a preview of Ask Roulette coming to Maiden Alley Cinema tomorrow (Thursday, March 13) at 7 p.m.

Puppies Sound Good: Meet Dancer

We met Dancer today, a yellow Labrador retriever mix. Last month, we meet her sister Dasher, who has since been adopted. Dancer is one of three siblings yet to be adopted. Today is her 12-week birthday. Dancer loved getting picked up and petted on by station staff. Her foster mom lives next door to kids who have done a great job socializing the litter. Dancer was a curious pup who had to stop and sniff everything on the way into the studio. Once in the studio, she sat nicely next to Kathy Hodge of the Humane Society of Calloway County.

The virtual currency Bitcoin has been on a media rollercoaster since its introduction in 2009. Recently, the world's largest Bitcoin exchange Mt. Nevertheless, Bitcoin may still be the currency of the future. Murray State's Arthur J. This week marks the 50th anniversary of a Kentucky event of importance not only for the state, but also for the nation. On March 5, 1964, over 10,000 people marched to Frankfort, Kentucky, led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Jackie Robinson, demanding a law to end segregation in the Commonwealth. We hear the story with Kate Lochte, through the voices of a state employee of that time and an organizer of the event - who is still working for human rights.
