Murray State University basketball player Zaveral "Zay" Jackson has accepted a plea deal on two charges of wanton endangerment. 20-year-old Jackson agreed to the deal Monday in McCracken County. He will serve 60 days, including 11 days credit for time served. He has 49 days left with three years of supervised probation. Jackson was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment after a September 10 incident in the parking lot of the Murray Walmart. Police say he hit a man with his car after an argument. Jackson originally pleaded guilty to first-degree wanton endangerment after facing two counts of second-degree assault. A judge said a 30-day jail sentence was lenient. Jackson withdrew the plea.
