Murray, KY -- Murray State's public radio service 91.3 WKMS presents a special live broadcast of its local bluegrass program, Music From the Front Porch, from Paducah on Saturday, May 21 during the LowerTown Arts & Music Festival.

Music From the Front Porch has been a cornerstone program for WKMS for over a decade. Hosts John McMillen and Mark Welch introduce three regional favorites during the live broadcast from the Festival's Main Stage. Opening the program at 10 a.m. hear family harmonies with The McKendrees. Next, Terrapin Pond explores a more psychedelic sound that's been influenced by bluegrass greats like JD Crowe and Bill Monroe. Lastly, experimental roots band Bawn in the Mash will adopt a more acoustic flavor when performing for the Front Porch crowd around Noon.
