WKCTC Gives All Clear after Possible Gunshots Heard on Campus

West Kentucky Community and Technical College officials have given an all clear after the school was locked down when what sounded like gunshots were heard on campus.

WKCTC spokesperson Tammy Thompson says the school issued the first safety alert at 2:20 p.m. Police then searched campus and found nothing.

There is no further investigation on the incident.

Whitney grew up listening to Car Talk to and from her family’s beach vacation each year, but it wasn’t until a friend introduced her to This American Life that radio really grabbed her attention. She is a recent graduate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., where she studied journalism.
