By John Walker
West Kentucky Community and Technical College is a finalist for a 2013 National Bellwether Award for its efforts in creating a cultural transformation that resulted in the college being named a top-five community college by the Aspen Institute in 2011.
WKCTC is one of 10 nominees selected as national finalists in the Planning, Governance & Finance category. The college was previously a Bellwether finalist in 2005.
The Bellwether Awards are conferred by the Community College Futures Assembly, which is sponsored by the University of Florida Institute of Higher Education.
