Benton, KY – A West Kentucky Allied Services internal investigation is looking into possible wrongdoing by one of its employees. That employee was asked to resign about three weeks ago. WKAS provides a wide range of services throughout the region for those in need, including weatherizing homes. One allegation stems from an employee being both concurrently on the organization's payroll while being paid by a private contractor. Another allegation results from complaints that inspectors certified incomplete projects so contractors could be paid. The Paducah Sun reports the employee in question is not being identified while the investigation is underway, which is expected to wrap up early next month.
