West Tennessee – Tennessee's 75th state House District has a new representative. Republican Tim Wirgau bested incumbent Democrat Willie "Butch" Borchert by nearly 2,400 votes. Wirgau says jobs in Henry, Benton and Stewart counties will be among his first orders of business.
"To secure the jobs that we have here already, and to help fight against some of the taxes that are on the small business owners so they can put people back to work. But most importantly to be a voice, and to always have an open door policy to the folks."
Wirgau says he plans to continue the work started by the current administration in the 75th District. Incumbent Borchert could not be reached for comment.
