Whitfield Elected Valley President

Washington, D. C. – Kentucky's 1st district U-S Representative Ed Whitfield has been elected to serve as the President of the Mississippi Valley Flood Control Association. The group monitors flood control, drainage, and navigation issues on the country's longest river. Whitfield had previously served as the Association's First Vice President.
