Western Kentucky Schools Named Among Best in State

Kentucky Department of Education

Several schools in western Kentucky have been named among the top 10 institutions in the state. The Kentucky Department of Education Winner’s Circle includes North Marshall Middle, Ballard Memorial High and Earlington Elementary schools.

The four-phase selection process primarily considers results from the state-administered 2015 Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning Kentucky Survey. The report asks educators around the commonwealth about topics ranging from school leadership and student conduct to available educational resources.

Academic achievement and school safety also heavily factored into the list.
