Western Kentucky School Districts in Top 100 Niche Rankings

 The educational analysis website Niche.com has ranked three regional school districts in the top ten of their list of Kentucky’s best school districts. Murray Independent, Paducah Independent, and Owensboro Independent Schools ranked 4th, 6th, and 10th respectively in the commonwealth.

Niche ranks schools based on the quality of academics, teachers, school resources, and student life. The organization pulls information from government sources and student and parent reviews.

Kentucky has 174 public school districts. More than a dozen other school districts in western Kentucky made it into Niche’s top 100:

21. McCracken County Public Schools

24. Daviess County Public Schools

29. Graves County Public Schools

32. Hopkins County Public Schools

37. Hickman County Public Schools

39. Mayfield Independent Schools

43. Calloway County Public Schools

56. Caldwell County Public Schools

61. Ballard County Public Schools

63. Trigg County Public Schools

79. Crittenden County Public Schools

85. Muhlenberg County Public Schools

97. Lyon County Public Schools

In Niche’s list of Kentucky’s best high schools, Paducah Tilghman High School ranked 12th, Murray High School ranked 13th, and Owensboro High School ranked 15th. Other western Kentucky high schools in Niche’s top 100 for Kentucky include:
