West Side Story Revival Comes to Paducah
The original production of West Side Story opened on Broadway in 1957. The film version premiered in 1961, and won a slew of Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet is a favorite among many for its high energy dance numbers, its memorable songs, and its enduring storyline. The traveling production of West Side Story comes to the Carson Center in Paducah, November 19 and 20. Angela Hatton spoke with Theo Lencicki, who plays Riff, the leader of the white street gang, the Jets.
