National Weather Service Paducah, via weather.gov

A National Weather Service heat advisory will take effect for the region at 1 p.m. Saturday, lasting through Sunday evening.

Saturday's forecast calls for a high of 96 degrees, with heat index values as high as 110. Sunday, highs will again be in the mid-90s with heat index values in the 105-110 range.

The NWS advises taking extra precautions if you plan on working or spending time outside this weekend. They recommend rescheduling strenuous activities to early morning or evening hours if possible, along with wearing lightweight clothing and drinking plenty of water to combat heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
