Monday, November 17:

A 30 year career Army nurse now consults with the VA to commemorate the service of Vietnam Veterans in communities across the nation.  She's Colonel Lucretia McClenney who's back at Murray State for the Global Alumni Lecture Wednesday night - and we meet her on Sounds Good today.  

We find out what's happening this month at Calloway County Public Library with Acquisitions/Collection Development Manager and Community Relations Coordinator  Sandy Linn.

Tuesday, November 18:

Murray State's 9th Annual Global Alumni Lecture Series tomorrow night from 7 to 9 includes State Street Corporation VP Kristie Helms, whom we meet today on Sounds Good.  She's also a Lambda Literary Award finalist in Lesbian Debut Fiction for her book "Dish it Up, Baby."

Today's second hour features the continuing conversation about depression with Murray State assistant professor of psychology, Dr. Michael Bordieri, this time addressing a listener inquiry about the biology of depression. See more in our series: Understanding Depression

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
