Vickie Vaughn got her start singing on stage at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville at the age of 9, where the Symsonia native grew up loving classic country and bluegrass. After graduating high school, she moved to Nashville to study Commercial Voice at Belmont University. In 2010, she released an EP featuring friends Josh Williams and Clayton Campbell.

The Vickie Vaughn band presents a unique brand of bluegrass, "that blends tradition with youthful funk and energy.*" Their influences are Bill Monroe, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan and John Prine.

Members are Vickie Vaughn on vocals and bass, Justin Hiltner on banjo and vocals, Zach White on guitar and vocals, Casey Campbell on mandolin and vocals, and Maggie Estes on fiddle.
