The city of Morganfield in Union County is getting more than $3.6 million dollars in federal funding for a water treatment plant and line upgrade.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is investing $331 million for clean water infrastructure in 85 rural communities.

Morganfield is receiving a loan of more than $2.6 million and a grant of $1 million for fiscal year 2016.
