UPDATED: No Foul Play Suspect in Murray Woman's Death

MPD

UPDATE Monday 2:15pm - No foul play is suspected in the death of 23-year-old Megan Cooper over the weekend.

Calloway County Coroner Ricky Harris says no lethal trauma was found and does not suspect foul play. However, a toxicology report from Louisville will reveal more into the cause of death. Harris says those reports usually take about 10 days.

UPDATE 4:53 P.M. Calloway County Coroner Ricky Harris has identified the woman as 23-year-old Megan Cooper. An autopsy's scheduled for tomorrow morning.

ORIGINAL STORY: Murray Police have discovered the body of a woman just a day after she was reported missing.

Friday, the MPD responded to a “check-up” request at a home on Stadium View Drive. They couldn’t find the individual in question and filed a missing persons report.

Saturday afternoon, officers found the woman's body after a search. Her name won’t be released pending an announcement from the Calloway County Coroner’s Office.

Police have not decided whether foul play was involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Murray Police Department.
