UPDATED: Missing Calloway County Woman Found Dead

Calloway County Coroner Ricky Harris says preliminary autopsy results indicate Jennifer Hicks died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

UPDATE: 11:45 a.m.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 public affairs officer Michael Robichaud confirms the body of Jennifer L. Hicks was found Thursday in a storage unit at Garland Rental Boat & Mini Storage on Kentucky 94 East in Murray. Hicks' car was also found inside the unit.

Robichaud said an autopsy is being performed Friday in Louisville.

According to the Kentucky State Police, Jennifer L. Hicks was found dead Thursday in Calloway County. Hicks was reported missing on February 9 and on February 16, KSPissued a warrant for her arrest on a charge of Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property over $10,000 - a Class C felony.

KSP were on the scene Thursday evening, assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, the Murray Police Department and the Calloway County Coroner's Office. An investigation is ongoing.
