Upcoming Track Work to Bring Rail Crossing, Road Closures in Western Kentucky

Track work in Christian, Hopkins and Webster Counties will bring railroad crossing and road closures later this month.

 

CSX Railroad is tentatively planning to begin construction March 22 in the Hopkinsville area. Work will continue north over a two-week period through towns including Crofton, Earlington and Slaughters.

 

KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd says that schedule is subject to change.

March 22 & 23

  • KY 112/Main Street closed at mile point 9.739 in Earlington

 
March 23-April 1

  • KY 2171/Hubert Reid Road closed at mile point 0.202 north of Earlington
  • KY 3059/Wells Road closed at mile point 3.774 in Nortonville
  • KY 800/Princeton Street closed at mile point 6.587 just west of US 41 in Crofton
  • US 41/East 9th Street in Downtown Hopkinsville (US 41/US 68/KY 80/KY 109) closed at US 41 mile point 12.285
  • East 14th Street in Hopkinsville closed (City Street)
